Care after stroke or transient ischaemic attack: information for patients and their carers

Revised edition due to be published at the end of 2016. This will be available online only.

This booklet is based on the National clinical guideline for stroke, 4th edition. It looks at the care and treatment of adults after a stroke or a transient ischaemic attack (also called a TIA or 'mini stroke') and their families and carers. It may also be useful for anyone with an interest in stroke or TIA.

The booklet aims to help patients and carers understand the care and treatment options that should be available, including questions to ask the heathcare team involved in the treatment process.
